Type 2 respiratory failure secondary to left hemidiaphragmatic paralysis

Abstract

This case describes an uncommon presentation of type 2 respiratory failure secondary to left hemidiaphragmatic paralysis. Emphasis is on the multitude of possible causes of hemidiaphragmatic paralysis and how to manage such a presentation.
