Abstract

• Incidental findings are an inevitable part of radiology reporting. • Detection of incidental findings may be beneficial, but may result in unnecessary further investigation, and potential harm to patients. • Incidental findings should be reported in context, with an attempt to offer guidance as to their significance, and the need to investigate further.
