Abstract

Abstrak                 Penelitian ini berjudul "Pengaruh Guru Profesional terhadap Motivasi Siswa di Kelas VIII Bidang Ilmu Sosial di SMP Baptist Batam Tahun2013 / 2014." Penelitian ini dilakukan karena kurangnya guru profesional yang penting untuk mengendalikan kelas sebagai hasilnya. Itu mempengaruhi motivasi siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh Guru Profesional terhadap Motivasi Siswa dalam Mata Pelajaran Ilmu Sosial di Kelas VII di Sekolah Menengah Pertama Batam tahun 2013/2014. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan korelasi. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua siswa SMP dengan menggunakan Baptist Batam di kelas VIIIB sebagai sampel melalui teknik simple random sampling. Teknik pengolahan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pengujian validitas dan reliabilitas. Penelitian ini dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji uji normalitas prasyarat, uji t dan koefisien determinasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Guru Profesional berpengaruh signifikan terhadap motivasi belajar siswa. Hal itu ditunjukkan sebagai koefisien korelasi sebesar0,540. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan diperoleh hasil t = 3.399 dan tabel = 2.048, t-test ternyata> tableor3.399> 2.048 maka Ho (hipotesis nol) ditolak sedangkan Ha (hipotesis alternatif) diterima. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada hubungan yang signifikan antara Motivasi Siswa Guru Profesional di Kelas VIII Bidang Ilmu Sosial di Sekolah Menengah Pertama Batam tahun 2013/2014. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan koefisien determinasi, diperoleh faktor kontribusi guru Profesionalisme sebesar 29,217% terhadap motivasi belajar siswa dan sisanya 70,782% yang ditentukan oleh faktor lain. Kata kunci: Guru Profesional, Motivasi Siswa AbstractThis study entitled ”Effect of Professional Teacher to Student Motivation in Class VIII Social Science Subjects in Batam Baptist Junior High School Year2013/2014.”This research was carried out due to  the lack of professional teachers who were notable to control the class as the result that it affected students' motivation. The purpose of this study was to know the influence of Professional Teacher toward Students’ Motivation in Social Science Subjects in Class VII in Batam Baptist Junior High School Year2013/2014. This research was a quantitative study by using a correlation approach. The population in this study was all junior high school students by using Baptist Batam in class VIIIB as a sample through simple random sampling technique. Data processing techniques used in this study were validity and reliability testing. This study was analyzed by using prerequisite test normality test analysis, t-test and coefficient of determination. The results showed that the Professional Teacher had a significant effect toward students’ motivation. It was shown as the correlation coefficient of0.540. Based on the calculation of the obtained result  t=3.399and the table =2.048, t-test turns>tableor3.399>2.048then Ho(null hypothesis) was rejected while Ha(alternative hypothesis) was accepted. Thus, it could be concluded that there was a significant relationship between the Professional Teacher Student Motivation in Class VIII Social Science Subjects in Batam Baptist Junior High School Year2013/2014. Based on the results of the calculation of the coefficient of determination, it was obtained the contribution factor of Professionalism teacher was 29.217% towards students’ motivation in learning and the remaining was 70.782% which was determined by other factors.  Keywords: Professional Teacher, Students’Motivation
