Abstract

In the title complex, [Cu(C17H19N2O 2)(NCS)], the CuII atom is chelated by the phenolate O atom, the imine N atom and the amine N atom of the N,N',O-tridentate 2-eth-oxy-6-[(2-anilino-ethyl)-iminometh-yl]phenolate ligand, and by the N atom of a thio-cyanate anion, forming a distorted CuON3 square-planar geometry. The dihedral angle between the aromatic rings of the ligand is 67.9 (4)°. In the crystal, inversion dimers linked by pairs of N - H⋯O hydrogen bonds occur, generating R 2 2(8) loops.
