Abstract

The development of a Professional Nursing Practice Model is an effort by many countries to improve the quality of nursing services in nurses' work environments. The development of a Professional Nursing Practice Model is also a strategy for various hospitals to make nurses comfortable and satisfied working in the nursing work environment. This community service activity aims to increase nurses' understanding of the meaning of MPKP, explanation of the five pillars of MPKP and their application, various assignment methods and job descriptions, steps for consideration, pre and post conference, nursing rounds. The method of implementing the service is knowledge screening, counseling and discussion about MPKP and simulation of assignment methods. The target of the activity is 20 nurses. Most service participants are aged 31-40 years (45%), female (55%), have a nursing education (60%) and have worked for more than three years (50%). Regarding knowledge about the MPKP pillars, before counseling most of them were in the poor category (50%) and after counseling most of them were good (80%).
