Food Safety Certifications Analysis toward Sustainability

Abstract

Food safety must move toward becoming zero emissions in line with a goal of converting all operations to net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. Over time, some protocols have been extended to generate actions that help ensure food safety. But it has been left aside that these protocols may be difficult to comply considering that we must move toward a sustainable economy of net zero emissions by 2050. In this chapter, we make an analysis of food safety protocols and the greenhouse gas emissions associated with some protocols.
