Abstract

We make a review of Múltiple Sclerosis, a demielinizating disease wich attacks the Central Nervous System. We consider the generalities, epidemiology, etiopathologic and inmunologic features, clinical manifestations and diagnose, making actualized reference of the diagnostic criteria given by Poser in 1983 and the latest McDonald criteria (2001) . The diagnostic value of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and an overlook of the pharmacological approach in all the presentation forms of the disease.
