Abstract

A new method for the synthesis of SnO2 is proposed and thin films areprepared by a dip-coating method. In the present paper we report thatthese SnO2 films exhibit a reversible electrochemical insertion oflithium ions while maintaining high optical transmissivity. These filmscan be used as transparent counterelectrodes in electrochromictransmissive devices and in gas sensors.
