Abstract
The purpose of the article is to assess the level of investment security in the region using the example of Crimea. All indicators of investment security must brought into a comparable form to calculate the integral indicator of investment security in the region. This requires standardization and comparison of the obtained numerical values of each indicator with its normative value. We calculate the integrated indicators for each group of indicators, and then we obtain the general integrated indicator of investment security. The resort and tourism sector, agriculture, construction, industry and the fuel and energy sectors are the most attractive for investors. The gross regional product (GRP) and the volume of investments in fixed assets in Crimea increased in 2014-2017. The largest share in the structure of investments in fixed assets occupied by investments in buildings and structures. Relatively small amounts i n Crimea invested in housing stock. First, the Crimean economy grows; the debt burden on the region’s economy has sharply increased in 2016-2017. Second, crime decreased in 2016-2017. Third, investment in fixed assets is increasing; there is a decrease in the investment potential of the region at its own expense, but the region does not have enough foreign investment and there is a lack of investment in research. Fourth, there is a slowdown in the processes of capacity building and expansion of production, since the coefficients of renewal and retirement of fixed assets have decreased, while the fixed assets of the Crimea worn out and require updating.
