Abstract

A shift in the music-consumption landscape has caused on-demand music streaming to increase in popularity. That being said, the number of music streamers in Malaysia has also seen a rapid increase over the past few years. This paper aims to investigate the role of information systems quality and trustability on user satisfaction among Malaysian music streamers. Utilising the data attained from 130 respondents, the relationships in the model were examined using the Partial Least Square (PLS) approach. The results of this study revealed that information quality, system quality and trustability have significant positive effects on user satisfaction towards music streaming platforms. Service quality did not show a significant positive influence on user satisfaction. This study may be considered as one of the first to examine user satisfaction in the context of online music streaming.
