Selection of parameters of stabilizers in multimachine power systems

Abstract

This paper presents a technique for selecting the parameters of stabilizers in multimachine power systems. The technique enables the selection of the parameters of stabilizers such that specified improvements in the damping ratios of the poorly damped modes of oscillation are realized approximately.
