Abstract
The advent of digital pills and smart drug delivery systems marks a transformative era in precision medicine. This review explores the integration of digital technologies in pharmaceutical therapies, focusing on how these innovations enhance patient adherence, optimize therapeutic outcomes and provide real-time data for healthcare providers. By leveraging advanced materials and microelectronics, digital pills have the potential to track ingestion patterns, monitor physiological responses and personalize treatment regimens, facilitating a move away from one-size-fits-all approaches. We discuss the technological advancements driving this revolution, such as ingestible sensors, automated dosage dispensers and mobile health applications.
