Abstract

The article discusses the resiliency, economic growth, and industrialization of China as an emerging-market economy (EME) during and after the global financial crisis in 2008-2009. It is noted that China did not suffer a recession in its economy despite the decrease in its gross domestic product (GDP) growth. The author also outlines the influence of reforms and restructuring measures in the rate and pattern of the country's growth.
