Abstract

This paper presents the first stage of a study examining the digital design and fabrication of a parametrically defined sculptural concrete façade element employing fibre reinforced concrete. On the background of a literature review of related precedent studies, the paper extends the scope of previous studies by offering a detailed insight into the process of integrating architectural considerations with material properties of fibre reinforced concrete, detailed structural analysis and construction constraints. The paper offers technical details with a focus on material to similar on-going studies.
