Abstract
Carrying out dam-break flood simulation and accurately predicting the propagation and advancement process of dam-break flood are important measures to effectively deal with reservoir dam failure. This paper takes the Hengshan Reservoir in Ningbo, Zhejiang as the research object, diagnoses and analyzes the dam failure forms under different influencing factors through the accident tree method, and couples DB-IWHR and Mike21 technology to construct a flood evolution model under the reservoir dam failure scenario. The development process of dam-break flood under 6 different working conditions when the dam breaks instantly and gradually is simulated. The flood elements such as the submerged water depth and arrival time of each control section and control point in the study area are obtained to evaluate the regional life and economic losses. The research results can provide decision-making basis for local flood control command departments at all levels to fight against floods, rescue and disaster relief, reduce the impact of flood disasters, and provide technical support for regional urban construction comprehensive planning.
