Abstract

The learning process in al-Ghazâlî's perspective, known as “rabbânî al-ummah” (community educator), is good to be used as a benchmark for the success of learning processes and supporting factors for the success of the learning process, especially if compared with other educational thinkers to be relevant to education in globalization era. This research is a library research using a descriptive-qualitative and analytical-critical approach to Ayyuhâ al-Walad by al-Ghazâlî about the learning process. This research succeeded in revealing the learning process in the perspective of al-Ghazâlî in Ayyuhâ al-Walad is a series of theocentric learning processes, which are different from Western perspectives that are anthropocentric, so that learning is considered valuable if the goal is to get closer to God and motivation in learning in order to revive the sharia of the Prophet and subdue lust.
