Comparative histological study of the reproductive system of the female llama ( Lama guanicoe glama ) The histological characteristics of the oviduct, uterus, cervix and vagina of the llama are described and compared with those of domestic mammals. There are differences between llama and domestic mammals in the type of placentation and the epithelium of the vagina, which seems to be a transitional epithelium.
