Abstract

there is presented the findings of theoretical studies into the impulse response (IR) chirping and analysis of the conditions when IR has the form of a chirplet during ionospheric HF propagation. Based on the international reference ionosphere (IRI) model, we carried out modeling of possible parameters of chirplets with a rectangular and a Gaussian window. Characteristics of chirplets were additionally studied in the frequency range where the change of type of intramode dispersion of the ionospheric plasma occurs.
