Hubungan Personal Hygiene dan Sanitasi Lingkungan Terhadap Prevalensi Terjadinya Demam Tifoid di Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah (RSUD) Meuraxa Kota Banda Aceh Tahun 2018

Abstract

Typhoid fever is a systemic infection caused by salmonella typhi, hygiene will affect a person's health and psychic. Personal hygiene is the act of maintaining a person's hygiene and health for physical and psychological well-being. Based on data obtained from RSUD Meuraxa in get patients diagnosed with typhoid fever from january to December 2016 as many as 180 cases. And the data obtained in the next year from January to August 2017 as many as 142 cases of typhoid fever. Given the number of problems that arise and the prevalence increases, Based on this background, the researchers wanted to see the relationship prevalence of risk factors for typhoid fever at local hospitals (RSUD) Meuraxa City of Banda Aceh Year 2018. This study aims to determine the prevalence of risk factors for the occurrence typhoid fever at the Regional General Hospital (RSUD) Meuraxa City of Banda Aceh Year 2018. This research is useful to be a source of information about pravelensi and risk factors for typhoid fever and to prevent transmission. This type of research is qualitative using Cross Sectional Design method. Samples were taken using total sampling. The study was conducted at the Meuraxa Hospital in Banda Aceh. The research will be done by taking the patient medical record data then the researcher give the questionnaire to the patient in the inpatient room. This study was conducted from May 15 to June 20, 2018. The results of this study showed a significant relationship between typhoid fever with hand washing risk factors after CHAPTER (Pvalue = 0.001), washing hands before eating (Pvalue = 0.000) and washing raw materials before consumption (Pvalue = 0.024). Based on these results can be concluded risk factors typhoid fever is very important role in disease transmission.
