Abstract

For constrained model predictive control with LP optimizer some practical methods for removing the excessive input movement are proposed. It is made clear that instability of the controller is caused by the singularity of the square matrix consisting of the saturated outputs and unsaturated inputs and the sensitiveness of optimal LP-solutions to process disturbances. Furthermore the proposed method is applied to an industrial chemical plant at Mitsubishi Chemical to confirm the effectiveness of the method.
