Abstract

Moringa oleifera Lam. belonging to the Moringaceae family, was collected to study the meaning of the application. Defatted moringa seed powder (DF-MOSP), its late recovered forms, and even gums from fractional extraction with solvents were applied as significant natural coagulants in water treatment. At doses of 100 and 250 mg/L, forms of MOSP coagulants presented the most effective coagulant capacity for treating water treatment, such as alum-contaminated water from wells (AWW) and polluted canal water (PCW) into domestic water and surface water by the Vietnamese standard system. The more fractional extracts separated from the MOSP materials, the higher the biocoagulant/bioflocculant power of these materials showed in water treatment. Turbidity and ferric metals, caused by the alum contamination of well water, were treated entirely by all the MOSP material forms at 100 mg/L. The moringa seed gum showed high flocculation ability.
