Abstract
Testing The Effectiveness Of A Gel Formulation Of Breakun Leaves Extract (Artorcarpus altilitis) Combination Of Binahong (Anredera cardifolia) Leaves As Healing Of Burns In Rabbits (Orycatolagus cunniculus). Burns are tissue damage or loss that can be caused by contact with heat sources such as water, fire, chemicals, electricity, and radiation. Burns will also cause damage not only to the skin, but also to the entire body system. One of the plants that has the potential to heal burns is the breadfruit leaf extract (Artocarpus altilis) combined with Binahong leaves (Anredera cordifolia). The purpose of this study was to find out whether breadfruit leaf extract (Artocarpus altilis) combined with Binahong leaves (Anredera cordifolia) can be formulated in a gel dosage form that meets the physical evaluation test requirements, to find out whether breadfruit leaf extract gel combined with binahong leaves can heal wounds burn by experimental method on rabbits. Extraction using the Maceration method using 96% ethanol solvent. The randemen results obtained were 31% each. Phytochemical analysis of Breadfruit and Binahong leaves contain alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, tannins, and polyphenols. Breadfruit and Binahong leaf extracts can be formulated into gel preparations and meet the physical evaluation test requirements. Breadfruit leaf extract gel preparation combined with binahong leaves has activity for healing burns in rabbits, seen from the value (p≥0.05) which experienced healing on the twelfth day.
