PERFIL PROFESIONAL DEL GESTOR DEPORTIVO MUNICIPAL: CAPACIDADES y HABILIDADES NECESARIAS

Abstract

La Comunidad Autónoma de Galicia muestra una carencia absoluta de información estadística sobre la gestión de las áreas deportivas municipales. Por otraparte no existe una correcta configuración de las competencias y habilidades quedebe desarrollar el gestor deportivo municipal en su puesto de trabajo. Estos dosaspectos conllevan el objetivo principal del estudio. En primer lugar identificar yanalizar la situación actual que presenta la gestión deportiva municipal en Galicia,estableciendo el perfil de los profesionales encargado de la gestión. En segundolugar analizar si la valoración de las competencias y habilidades permite distinguirentre tipos de gestores en el ámbito deportivo. El perfil profesional de los gestoresdeportivos municipales en Galicia responde a las características tipo identificadasen los estudios previos de otras comunidades. Los gestores presentan un nivel formativo elevado e interés en la formación continua. Sin embargo, la configuraciónde los puestos de trabajo no es homogénea y los gestores no realizan únicamentetareas de dirección. Esta circunstancia se refleja en el análisis de las competencias y habilidades. Se identifica, mediante la aplicación de un clúster, un grupo degestores que es consciente de la aplicación de competencias y habilidades en supuesto de trabajo. Frente a un segundo grupo que no considera o no es conscientede su aplicabilidad. Es necesaria una delimitación adecuada de las funciones delos gestores deportivos, para que relacionen y apliquen de forma correcta las competencias y habilidades adquiridas en su formación y a través de la experienciaprofesional.The region of Galician shows an absolute lack of statistical information on themanagement of local sports areas. On the other hand there is no correct configuration of the capacities and abilities that the local sports manager must develop inhis job. These two aspects represent the main objective of the study. First, identifyand analyze the current situation of local sports management in Galicia, recognizing the profile of management professionals. Secondly, to analyze whether the assessment of capacities and abilities allows tell apart types of managers in the sportsfield. The professional profile of local sports managers in Galicia is similar to thatidentified in previous studies in other regions. Managers have university education and interest in continuing training. However, the configuration of the jobs isnot homogeneous and the managers do not have only management functions. Thissituation is shown in the analysis of capacities and abilities. It identifies, throughthe application of a cluster, a group of managers who is aware of the applicationcapacities and abilities in their job. On the other hand, there is a second group thatdoes not consider or are not aware of its applicability. An adequate delimitation ofthe functions of the sports managers is necessary. In this way, the managers willbe able to relate and correctly apply the capacities and abilities achieved in theirtraining and through their professional experience.
