DO SUJEITO COMO LEGISLADOR/ARTISTA AO SUJEITO COMO DESIGNER: liberdade e criatividade em uma teoria pós-prometeica da ação

Abstract

Este artigo parte de algumas categorias propostas por Bruno Latour para tecer considerações históricas a respeito de noções como sujeito, vontade e liberdade. As categorias em questão são as de teoria prometeica e pós-prometeica da ação. Acrescento a elas, ainda, a categoria de teoria da ação pré-prometeica. Nesta, o sujeito livre aparece como aquele cuja vontade adere a uma ordem cósmica ou divina. O referencial prometeico, por sua vez, rompe com o arcabouço metafísico tradicional e ou nega a liberdade da vontade, considerando-a determinada pela causalidade empírica, ou propõe a existência de uma liberdade transcendental desconectada de uma ordem metafísica estabelecida. Com base nesta, o sujeito pode ser pensado como legislador ou como artista. Argumento que tanto o referencial préprometeico quanto o prometeico baseiam suas teorias da ação em uma moral e, atentando para a filosofia de Nietzsche, delineio uma forma pósprometeica de conceber o sujeito. Nela, o sujeito é encarado como um designer que articula valores e aparências.This paper uses some categories proposed by Bruno Latour to weave historical considerations about notions such as subject, will and freedom. The mentioned categories are the Promethean and postPromethean theories of action. I add to them also the category of prePromethean theory of action. In this last one, the free subject is the one which will adhere to a cosmic or divine order. The Promethean theoy of action breaks with the pre-Promethean metaphysical framework and either denies the freedom of the will, considering it to be determined by empirical causality, or proposes the existence of a different transcendental freedom, based on which, the subject can be thought of as a legislator or as an artist. I argue that both the pre-Promethean theory of action and the Promethean one are based in a moral perspective. I then consider the philosophy of Nietzsche in order to outline a postPromethean way of conceiving the subject. In it, the subject is seen a designer who articulates values and appearances.
