Abstract

Inpatient hypoglycemia can be expected to increase commensurately with the increasing number of patients with diabetes. This common condition may have negative impact on morbidity, mortality, and costs. Improved recognition, monitoring, and treatment of nosocomial hypoglycemia are achievable nursing outcomes.
