Abstract

The adoptive transfer of T cells expressing chimeric antigen receptors (CAR s) has emerged as a promising immunotherapeutic strategy against cancer. Administering CAR -expressing T cells in combination with agents that promote the expression of CAR targets or optimize T-cell function within the tumor microenvironment may further improve the therapeutic potential of this approach © 2013 Landes Bioscience.
