Abstract

Mental health is an issue that although it is in force, is still unknown to many, especially in the childhood stage, whence people do not count on proper skills and competencies to attend them. For this reason, the current paper proposes an approach to Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD) which is a type of behavioral disorder, mostly diagnosed in childhood, through the view of sciences and technology applied to daily life. In this way, two tools that contribute to the diagnosis and intervention in children and adolescents with the diagnosis will be mentioned. In addition, a new tool will be proposed as a method of monitoring the behaviors presented by young ODD carriers, which aims to provide guidance and guidelines for caregivers and responsible adults around, with the aim of improving the quality of life of those who deal daily with the challenges that the diagnosis implies.
