Abstract
The Family Hope Program (PKH) is a government program in the form of social assistance as an effort to improve children's health and education levels. The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of government spending on the Family Hope Program (PKH) on people's income in Payakumbuh City and this study also analyzes whether there are differences in people's income between before receiving assistance, after receiving assistance, and income after rising fuel prices. This study uses a quantitative approach analysis method. The types of data used in this study are primary and secondary data, with the primary data being 84 respondents from the Family Hope Program. Data analysis techniques used reliability test, validity test, normality test, and Wilcoxon test. The results of the research in this study were that the results of the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test between assistance before PKH and after PKH was -4.523, and the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test between assistance after PKH and after the increase in fuel prices was -4.077 with a value of α < 0.1, indicating that government spending had an effect in the Family Hope Program (PKH) on people's income in Payakumbuh City.
