Incertitude et stress

Abstract

Uncertainty is probably today one of the most situation features inducing stress. This paper submits thoughts and studies about connections between uncertainty and stress. From ambiguity and uncertainty of these two concepts, it is proved that uncertainty is a main feature of complex systems. Considering that the interaction between person and job is a complex system, the type of connection between uncertainty and stress, the uncertainty origins, and the relation between uncertainty and coping are successively discussed.
