Abstract

The aim of this article is to analyze the influence of the value of ICT on tourism promotion, attractiveness and service in the museums of Toluca City, State of Mexico. To this end, a survey of 390 visitors was applied and the partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) was used to test the research hypotheses. The results show that the value of ICT is manifested through their efficiency, complementarity, retention and novelty; attributes that, as a whole, impact on the perception of users regarding the service, the museum environment, the dissemination and advertising of the place, as well as the differentiation of resources and activities offered to the public. The work is a contribution to strengthening innovation in tourism through ICT in museums, while promoting their cultural purpose.
