Abstract

A new bromohexyl phosphoramidite was synthesized and used for the introduction of an azide function at the 5′-end of oligonucleotides after a treatment on solid support with sodium azide and sodium iodide. The corresponding 5′-azido oligonucleotide could be further used for 'Click' conjugation with alkyne derivatives or by Staudinger ligation. © 2007 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
