Abstract
Neogene bedded siliceous rocks, which are lithologically similar to the rhythmic biogenic bedded cherts in orogenic belts, are widely distributed. By applying the relationships between burial depth and porosity reduction the maximum burial depth and thickness of eroded beds in each section investigated can be clarified. The sedimentary history, such as distribution of formations, lateral changes of lithology and tectonic frameworks is discussed.-from English summary
