Abstract

This is a report on applications of plastics in the production of furniture. Furniture consumption continues to grow in both simulated wood and plastics- as- plastics applications, with new emphasis on ABS, polyolefins, and developing urethane technology. But tradition- bound marketing still impedes true mass production. Consumption data are tabulated. Several all- plastics pieces of furniture are illustrated. Forecast for the future development is included.
