Sport funding in Brazil: analysis on recent changes in the configuration of resource transfers from federal lotteries

Abstract

The text aims to analyze the configuration of the transfer of funds from federal lotteries to finance sports in Brazil after the enactment of Laws 13.756 / 2018 and 14,073 / 2020. Documentary research was used from the sources available on the Federal Government’s Legislation Portal, Caixa Econômica Federal website and Transparency on Sport Portal, which were analyzed using the Analysis Methodology of the Financing of Sport in Brazil. The results indicated changes in the percentage of distribution of resources that change the configuration of sports financing via federal lotteries, with the entry of new sports administration entities and growth in the participation of legal entities. private sector in the distribution of resources.
