Abstract

This research was conducted as an answer to the problem of the low quality of education in Indonesia by implementing learning development that involves more activeness and independence of students. This research is media development research by following the steps of the ADDIE model. The development of learning media that utilizes advances in internet technology is quality learning because the learning process motivates students to be actively and creatively involved in learning. After achieving validation results from material experts of 94% and media experts of 96%, the media and learning materials were tested in small groups of students to get responses about the materials and learning media. After a positive response from the small group of students to the media which reached a percentage of 92% was obtained, the learning media was implemented in large groups or to all students who taking the Old Testament Interpretation course. Evaluation of the effectiveness of the media after implementation was obtained by the success of all students in carrying out the assignments given by the lecturer independently, actively and creatively. All assignments that have been carried out in E-Book form are collected in one library in the Book Creator application media. With the learning achievements above, it can be concluded that virtual learning media with the Book Creator application in the Old Testament Interpretation course is a valid, practical and effective learning media.
