Abstract

Besides tectroridin, two components, one of which is novel, have now been isolated from n-butanol extract of the rhizome of Iris tectorummaximowicz. The one (I), mp 210—214°, colorless microneedles, was idetntified as androsin (acetovanillon-β-D-glucoside). The other (II)A C23H24O12, mp 212—214°, was assumed to be 5,7,3′-trihydroxy-6,4′-di-methoxyisoflavone-7-β-D-glucoside. We proposed the names iristectorin A and iristectro-rigenin A for the glycoside and its aglycone, respectively. © 1972, The Pharmaceutical Society of Japan. All rights reserved.
