Correlation between Wood Anatomical Characters in Entandrophragma Utile (Meliaceae)

Abstract

Positive and negative correlations are report- ed for vessel member length and fibre width with various wood anatomical features in a stem of Entandrophragma utile. Parenchyma abundance is not correlated with any of the features analysed. The results are compared with data from the literature.
