Getting a Grasp on Coordination

Abstract

Motor coordination is realized by the nervous system at different levels. Concepts about the coordination within a limb define the controlled parameter in cartesian or joint space, whereas concepts about the coordination between limbs stress the temporal control of schémas. Motor deficits of neurological patients point to the role of the different motor areas in motor coordination.
