Abstract
The underlying device physics, design principles and performance of quantum cascade lasers (QCL) used in various scientific, commercial and military applications. The results of spectroscopic applications of distributed feedback QCLs to high resolution atmospheric chemistry, trace gas analysis as well as point sensors/LIDAR for environmental monitoring are also discussed.
