Abstract

In this paper, thin films of titanium dioxide TiO2 pure and manganese (Mn-doped) Glass has been prepared on substrates using sol-gel dip coating method. The resulting products Characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), microscopy of the atomic force (AFM), and absorption of UV-VIS. The results showed that the XRD phase of the anatase of the pure and doped titanium samples with strong peak of (101) at 2θ = 25 degree,The images of AFM uncover the average roughness and root mean square of the films low at 7%. In accordance with the results of XRD, an observed The red change at the edge of absorption was achieved when increasing the manganese(Mn) content, which led to a decrease in the indirect band gap from (3.2 - 2.55), to allow for good absorption in the Infrared-visible region. And this suitable for photo-catalytic applications.
