Abstract

This article recalls what happened 70 years ago after the dropping of the atomic bombs Little Boy and Fat Man in the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki respectively, by United States. Shortly describes about nuclear energy and the Manhattan Project, which developed and produced such weapons and their characteristics. The total destruction and the consequent biological effects in the population are also described.
