Abstract

In the chaotic context resulting from industrial and capitalist cultural patterns that have pervaded society ever since the episteme of civilization was forged, and that affect each area of the systems that coexist in the socio‑cultural environment, including modern tourism, where linearity, progress, development for development’s sake and economics prevail, we considered it to be relevant to reappraise the dialectics of the logic of tourism, moving from its innovatory or phenomelogical aspects to reality as it presents itself, in the community, via participation and modifications in cultural behaviour and language to generate greater social knowledge with a view to a symbolic interpretation of tourism.
