Abstract

The sexual anxiety and a return to the mythical patriarchal past are elements to the fascist mode of governing in implementation in Brazil. The family patriarch functions as an archetype for the fascist ruler that privileges cis and heterosexual men. It is a violent reaction to the gender feminist and queer studies articulated in the affirmation of a “familial gender ideology” spreading panic against feminists and LGBTIQ + population. How this discourse is articulated in the federal governament? We argue that the current Ministry of Women, Family and Human Rights (MMFDH in Portuguese) is the main locus of diffusion of this familial gender ideology. Feminist critical analysis of a documentary research of the main actions during first year of the current governament, allow us to claim that MMFDH has strengthened policies in defense of the patriarchal family, against feminisms and LGBTIQ + movements
