Abstract

Fourteen patients with severe bilateral carotid artery stenosis underwent carotid endarterectomy. Intra -operative ischemia was monitored by somatosensory evoked potentials (SSEP) bilaterally. Neuropsychological evaluations were completed within two days before operation and 4-9 days after operation.
