Abstract

The article discusses strategies and alternatives to deal with failures of hysteroscopy, a procedure for treating intrauterine diseases. It discusses the factors that lead to stenosis of the cervix which is a major factor in failure of hysteroscopy . Alternatives and management strategies using digital imaging, magnetic resonance imaging and ultrasound guidance to overcome failures, which include hygroscopic, mechanical and pharmacological dilatation, are discussed.
