The number of facial fractures has increased during the past several years. We have routinely treated facial fractures with open reduction and direct fixation. We obtained good results using a metal plate for patients with zygomatic fracture and a Kirshner wire for those with LeFort type fracture. © 1990, The Society of Practical Otolaryngology.
