Abstract

Contemporary constitutions provide for the protection of fundamental rights not only for citizens but for anyone in its territory. This paper discusses legislation and comparative jurisprudence on this issue. Specifically that in international mechanisms for the protection of human rights and the constitutional systems of the United States, Canada, South Africa and Ireland.
