Abstract
An accurate experimental investigation was made of the thermal expansion of 13 samples of molybdenum having different chemical compositions and obtained by different methods. The investigations were made in three different units in the temperature range 100-2546 degree C. The results of the investigation showed that molybdenum has a stable temperature coefficient of linear expansion, depending only slightly on the technology of the preparation of the samples and the content of impurities.
