Abstract
Various diseases present as cavitated pulmonary nodules. The diagnostic spectrum is challenging, ranging from acute to chronic infections, chronic systemic diseases, and malignancies. Knowledge of common and uncommon radiological findings, in relation to clinical history, are necessary to make the correct diagnosis. The purpose of this pictorial review is to present a brief description of the computed tomography findings of common cavitary lung diseases seen in adult patients.
