Abstract

Central Sulawesi is included in the Wallacean biogeographic region, which has a tropical climate and is an area that has a high diversity of organisms. The high level of unique and specific biodiversity is a wealth of natural resources that need to be preserved because it has various functions, including as a food source and life support system. One indicator that can be used to assess the status of biodiversity values is based on the value of ecosystem services. The higher the biodiversity character, the higher the ecosystem's support function for life. This study aims to analyze the condition of biodiversity ecosystem services. The results of the analysis show that the status of ecosystem services supporting habitat and biodiversity in Morowali Regency is still high status, with a coverage area of 81% of the total area of Morowali Regency. The results of this research contribute to recommendations for restoration or conservation needed regarding the condition of biodiversity ecosystem services in Morowali Regency.
